How to install The Loan Reminder

Concise steps for browsers that actually support installation.

The Loan Reminder is not listed in the App Store or Google Play. You can use it in a browser tab, or install it as a progressive web app (PWA) when your browser supports it — home-screen (or desktop) icon, full-screen app experience.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Open The Loan Reminder in Safari (required on iOS).
Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add.

Chrome, Firefox, and other iOS browsers can't add the app themselves — open the same link in Safari first.

Android (Chrome)

Sign in to The Loan Reminder in Chrome.
When Chrome offers it, choose Install app (or use the install option in Chrome's menu).
Or open Settings / your account menu and choose Install app when it appears.

Desktop (Chrome or Edge)

Sign in to The Loan Reminder in Chrome or Edge.
Use Install in the address bar or browser menu when the browser offers it.
Or open Settings and choose Install app when it appears.

Install only appears when the browser confirms the site meets its PWA criteria. If you don't see it, keep using the site in a normal tab.

The other person on a borrowed item never needs to install anything — they use the links in their emails.
